Misty Polihonrakis Promoted To Corporate Director Of Sales For Chesapeake Hospitality

MISTY POLIHRONAKIS PROMOTED TO CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF SALES
FOR CHESAPEAKE HOSPITALITY
GREENBELT, Md., June 5, 2012— Chesapeake Hospitality, one of the country’s fastest growing third-party hotel management companies, announced today the promotion of Misty Polihronakis to corporate director of sales. Kim Sims, president of Chesapeake Hospitality, made the announcement.
Polihronakis previously served as the director of sales and marketing since 2007 at the company’s Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Hotel in Hollywood, Fla. In her new role, Polihronakis is responsible for business development, maximizing overall room sales and generating revenues for Chesapeake Hospitality’s portfolio of hotels. She is also responsible for all of the company’s sales directors and their teams and will be directly involved in ensuring the achievement of established sales goals and objectives.

In her former role as director of sales and marketing for Chesapeake Hospitality at its Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach in Hollywood, Fla., Polihronakis was key to the development of standard operating procedures for group and individual sales processes, while managing sales and catering teams to generate room revenues of more than $12 million annually. In addition to her five years with the company, she brings more than a decade of sales experience to the team.

Polihronakis holds a bachelor of arts degree in interdisciplinary social sciences from James Madison University. She was also the director of community relations for South Florida Meeting Professionals International (MPI) during 2010 – 2011 and remains an active member. She also served as vice president for the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) for the Houston and Gulf Coast chapters.
