MILFORD, Mich., March 27, 2014 – Milford, Mich.-based MIPRO Consulting (MIPRO), a consultancy focused on implementations, upgrades and optimizations of Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications, announced the completion of their initial engagement with Covanta, a world leader in sustainable waste management and renewable energy. Covanta recently retained MIPRO for the second phase of the project. MIPRO President and CEO Jim Prokes made the announcement.
Covanta’s project involves a two-phase implementation of the PeopleSoft Maintenance Management module for Covanta’s footprint of Energy-from-Waste facilities across the U.S. Phase I included the implementation of Maintenance Management and Inventory modules at three pilot facilities, as well as configurations with existing modules. The three pilot sites deployed the additional PeopleSoft modules in November, and are now actively using the applications to manage their maintenance planning, scheduling and work order activity.
Phase II will involve the rollout of the software to an additional 35 Covanta sites over the course of 2014. MIPRO will remain engaged with Covanta during Covanta’s transition to the PeopleSoft solution. As part of this effort, MIPRO will facilitate the data cleansing and migration, the re-configuration of PeopleSoft to support the fully integrated environment and the development of additional reporting that will support the day-to-day maintenance operations for Covanta.
“We worked closely with Covanta’s team to determine what their goals were and outlined clear, concise plans to achieve those goals,” said Prokes. “We’re thrilled with the evolution of this project and a smooth go-live in time and under budget for these new PeopleSoft modules that will help enhance business processes and efficiencies for Covanta. As Phase II launches, we’re confident that the MIPRO-Covanta partnership will continue to produce great results, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to take this implementation through to the finish line.”
Phase I officially went live November 18, 2013, and rollout to the remaining facilities is expected to occur by the end of 2014.
Founded in 2005, MIPRO has a single point of focus: deploying PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades, optimizations and training for maximum strategic benefit, including PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft Financial, PeopleSoft ALM and PeopleSoft SCM, as well as solutions relative to Business Intelligence and Fusion.
