Michigan Mutual, Inc. Hires Executive Vice President of Operations

PORT HURON, Mich., November 5, 2013––Michigan Mutual, Inc., a nationally recognized, full-service wholesale and residential mortgage lender, announced that Scott Babin has joined the company as executive vice president of operations. Michigan Mutual, Inc. Co-Founder and CEO Mark Walker made the announcement.

In his role as executive vice president, Babin is responsible for overseeing the company’s underwriting and processing operations, including researching, developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan designed to further enhance the company’s customer service program.

Babin previously served as chief marketing officer of Port Huron, Mich.-based E&A Credit Union, where he managed the company’s marketing, business development and customer experience programs. Preceding that, Babin worked as marketing manager of Dow Corning.

Babin earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology, advertising and public relations from Grand Valley State University, and his master’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. Babin is a certified business communicator by the Business Marketing Association, and is awaiting certification as a chief executive by the Credit Union Executive Society. He was also included in the Rising 150: Top 150 Credit Union Executives 2010. In addition, Babin serves as senior pastor of Bridges Wesleyan Church.
