Michigan Mutual, Inc. Expanding Southfield Headquarters by 10,000 Sq. Ft. to Accommodate Rapid Hiring Growth

Mortgage company leases additional space; plans to hire 100 more employees this year 

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 20, 2013–– Michigan Mutual, Inc., a Port Huron and Southfield, Mich.-based full-service residential mortgage lender, announced today that it will expand its metro Detroit headquarters at the Galleria Office Centre in Southfield, Mich. by 10,000 square feet, for a total of 50,000 square feet of office space, to accommodate its rapidly growing team. Michigan Mutual, Inc. President and CEO Mark Walker made the announcement.

The move is another chapter in the company’s impressive growth story—as they have quickly grown from 100 employees in 2009 to more than 400 today, with plans to hire an additional 100 employees locally this year. The company has also continued to expand its footprint nationally from its corporate locations in Port Huron and Southfield, Mich., with a network of wholesale and retail office locations—including community branches in Birmingham, Mich., Livonia, Mich., Plymouth, Mich., Brighton, Mich., Lansing, Mich., and Grayling, Mich., and their most recently opened branch in Dallas, Texas. In 2012, the company continued to grow and evolve and closed 10,882 residential loans totaling $1.83 billion dollars.
