Michigan First Credit Union’s mortgage arm expands with June 25 grand opening
BRIGHTON, Mich. – June 25, 2014 –Michigan First Credit Union, a Lathrup Village-based member-owned financial institution, expanded its outreach in the local mortgage market with a June 25 grand opening event for its new Michigan First Mortgage office in Brighton. President & CEO Michael Poulos made the announcement.
“Michigan First has been supporting its members and local communities with mortgage loans for decades—and we’re thrilled to expand this effort with Michigan First Mortgage and the new Brighton office,” says Poulos. “Credit unions today have more flexibility to work with home-buyers and provide them with the financial tools to own the home of their dreams.”
The June 25th event, which ran from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., helped introduce the Michigan First Mortgage team to the Brighton community, with supporters from the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The strength of the Brighton community is clear, and it’s great to be a part of the growth and development here,” says Ted Lyons, Michigan First Mortgage branch manager for the Brighton office. “We’re looking forward to helping more families secure their first home or their next great home in Livingston County and throughout Southeast Michigan.”
