Michael Ugljesa Named President of Hylant Administrative Services

TOLEDO, Ohio June 10, 2014 — Hylant, one of the nation’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, announced today that Michael Ugljesa has been named president of Hylant Administrative Services (HAS). Richard Hylant, executive vice president of Hylant, made the announcement.

In this role, Ugljesa will be responsible for further building the vision and long-term strategies for the continued growth of the programs in which HAS administers. His diversified background in operations, insurance, risk management and leadership makes him the perfect fit for this position. Ugljesa has in-depth knowledge of the HAS programs as he spent almost 14 years as the vice president of HAS before taking a brief respite as chief operating officer at a regional family-owned insurance agency. He has distinguished himself as a leader within the public entity and educational communities and he has earned an outstanding reputation in the industry.

Ugljesa earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is involved in United Way, Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of America, and is a youth athletics coach. He also participates in many insurance-related associations on the local and national levels.
