Michael Chevrette Joins Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. as Head of Newly Formed Aviation Program

PRINCETON, N.J., November 11, 2010 – Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. (Meadowbrook, NYSE: MIG), a leader in specialty insurance programs based in Southfield, Michigan, today announced the appointment of Michael Chevrette as division manager of the company’s newly formed aviation program in Princeton, New Jersey. Curtis Kirkland, Regional Vice President, made the announcement.
“This appointment reaffirms our commitment to the aviation industry and will compliment our existing aviation program,” said Kirkland. “Mr. Chevrette is an aviation underwriting expert, and has spent the majority of his career working for major aviation specialty companies in New York. In addition to his 15 years of experience in the aviation insurance industry, Mr. Chevrette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from St. John’s University. He also has a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP) designations.
Mr. Chevrette was previously in the United States Marine Corps where he served four years active duty as an air traffic controller.
