Newest Mango Product Caters To Beginners Interested In Starting To “Speak the Language”
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., November 30, 2009 — Mango Languages today announced the official launch of its newest product, “Mango Basic”. The first installment of what are planned to be numerous additions to the Mango suite of products, Mango Basic will cater to the individual who seeks an elementary understanding of a new language to engage in simple conversations. The announcement was made by Beverly Cornell, Director of Marketing for Mango.
An abridged version of many of Mango Languages’ existing products, Mango Basic is designed to appeal to a beginner in a new language. This person is someone interested in learning everyday greetings, gratitudes, goodbyes and helpful phrases in a short period of time. Mango Basic will initially be available in 22 foreign languages and 14 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses. The program will be easy to use, requiring only two to five hours of time to complete. Additional languages and features will be introduced over the next several months.
Commenting on the launch of Mango Basic, Mango chief executive officer Jason Teshuba said, “We view the launch of Mango Basic as an important next step in our mission to remain a leader in our industry. There are several online language learning companies but from the beginning we have differentiated ourselves by not trying to be all things to all people. Instead, we remain focused on specific markets and providing products that meet and exceed each of those market’s individual needs.
“Mango Basic does this by catering to the time-crunched individual. This person is not interested in becoming a scholar but rather learning the key components of a new language in order to be polite, understand and use fundamental words and phrases that are essential to engage in basic conversations. Mango Basic allows the learner to accomplish this in a fun, simple and easy to follow interface anywhere, anytime.”
Since its founding in 2007, Mango Languages has grown to become one of the world’s leading providers of online language learning products. That growth will continue in 2010, as the company plans to enrich content within current offerings and introduce several new products, languages and features to the market, each of which will target a specific user profile and meet that user’s needs.
