CHARLOTTE, N.C., October 13, 2010 – LaVida Massage, a Commerce, Michigan, based massage and wellness center, has announced the expansion of LaVida Massage with the development of two LaVida locations in Charlotte, N.C.
The first new center, located near South Park in the Foxcroft Shopping Center, 7804 Fairview Rd., Suite A, in Charlotte, opened on October 1st. The center’s spacious 3,000 square feet will feature 10 massage rooms and one facial room. The second center, will be located north of Ballantyne in Toringdon Circle, 12206 Copper Way, Suite 120, and is slated to open on November 1st. Its 2,575 square feet will include eight massage rooms and one facial room.
The centers will provide a number of services and products specifically designed to meet the needs of both men and women in the area, including a variety of massage therapy options, such as Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, hot stone, prenatal, couples, chair and corporate massages. Both LaVida locations will be open seven days a week, and offer convenient online scheduling 24 hours a day.
The centers will be managed by Michael Barnes, an experienced massage therapist who will be leaving his position at the Southeastern Institute in order to manage both Charlotte LaVida locations. Barnes will be integral in identifying experienced, certified massage therapists for both centers that will meet LaVida’s high standards in massage therapy expertise. Each massage therapist will provide exceptional, customized massages tailored to each client’s specifications and problem areas to provide a soothing and therapeutic experience for guests.
The Charlotte LaVida massage centers are owned by franchisees Todd and Donna Peterson. The Petersons became interested in LaVida because of its focus on health and wellness and dedication to employing highly trained, professional massage therapy experts.
“Having benefited from improved health and fitness through regular massage myself, I felt compelled to provide this service to others in the Charlotte community,” said Todd Peterson. “We feel we can better provide a superior experience at a great price and make certain that our clients feel good about their visit to LaVida each time they come in.”
With over 39 million Americans annually taking advantage of massage therapy services, the massage sector has experienced expansive growth in the last few years. Now, more than ever, Americans are dedicated to health and wellness and have looked to massage to provide relief for a number of common ailments, such as back pain, migraines, high blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, anxiety and generalized stress.
Founded in 2007, LaVida has locations that span the United States, with several more centers slated to open in 2010. The company has doubled in size in the past year, and is positioned for substantive growth as clients continue to find unmatched value in the benefits of visiting a cost-effective, high quality massage center.
“As LaVida continues to expand nationally, it’s exciting to welcome two new North Carolina locations to the LaVida family,” said John Hoose, founder of LaVida Massage franchise. “The franchise has proven to be resistant to the difficult economy as people increasingly value the importance of massage and wellness, and as our competitive prices and exceptional service entice each visitor to return.”
