LaVida Massage Announces Opening of First Center in Virginia

ASHBURN, Va., May 4 2011 – LaVida Massage, a Commerce, Mich.-based massage and wellness center, today announced the opening of its first location in Virginia. LaVida Massage Founder John Hoose made the announcement.

The new center, located at 43670 Greenway Corporate Dr. in Ashburn, Va., is set to open in the beginning of June. Its spacious 3,200 square feet will feature eight regular massage rooms, one couples massage room and two facial rooms.

The center will provide a number of services and products specifically designed to meet the needs of both men and women in the area, including a variety of massage therapy options, such as Swedish, couples, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, chair and corporate massages performed by more than 15 certified massage therapists. In addition to its massage therapy and general facial services, the center will also offer its patrons microdermabrasion, body scrubs and waxing.

The center will be owned and managed by Nahed Girgis. Girgis, a master aesthetician and former professional in the healthcare management industry, became interested in LaVida because of its proven-successful business model.

“’I have always been interested in the health and wellness industry,” said Girgis. “However, as a former massage center employee, I was searching for an opportunity to apply my vast knowledge of the massage industry, along with a company that allowed me to add my own personal touches to my business.”

Founded in 2007, LaVida has locations that span the United States, with several more centers slated to open in 2011. The location will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, and offer convenient online scheduling 24 hours a day.
