DETROIT, February 13, 2014 – Detroit-based Kraemer Design Group, PLC (KDG) has hired four new employees; Laurie Frey Borer and Nicole Eisenmann as project architects, Kimberly Sansone as a senior interior designer and Amanda Kight as an architectural designer. Kraemer Design Group, PLC Principal Maureen Kraemer made the announcement.
Laurie Frey Borer, a University of Michigan undergraduate and architecture school alumna, has focused her career on the urban environment by tackling the issues of politics, economics and social equality through design. She is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Nicole Eisemann has known since she began school at University of Michigan that she wanted to work on transformative architectural projects in Detroit. Since that time she has acquired valuable project experience, two master’s degrees (in architecture and urban planning) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accreditation.
“Kraemer Design Group is deeply integrated into the revitalization of Detroit, so to be successful and create impactful change in the community, we need talented employees like Laurie and Nicole who are as passionate about the motor city as we are,” said Kraemer.
Amanda Kight earned her Master of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and is passionate about creating graphic presentations. Her experience to-date has been primarily in multi-family and senior living projects, but she looks forward to expanding her project diversity with KDG.
Kimberly Sansone, an accomplished interior designer with more than 10 years of experience and National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification, is also an active member of the Michigan design industry serving as a board member of the Interior Designers Coalition for Change and running continuing education units through the U.S. Green Building Council’s Detroit Chapter for local LEED accredited professionals.
“Amanda and Kimberly each bring strong technical skill and a unique approach to design to the KDG team, we are looking forward to seeing them excel in their roles,” added Kraemer.
As the industry leader in outovation, balancing cutting edge ideas and formulaic design strategy resulting in custom everyday masterpieces, KDG is consistently involved with numerous projects all across the city of Detroit; from the Broderick Tower to office buildings on the M@dision block, to the massive transformation of the David Whitney Building currently under construction.
