Jyotsna Balakrishnan Joins Jaffe Rait Heuer & Weiss, P.C. as Associate Attorney

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 12, 2012 – Jyotsna Balakrishnan has joined Southfield-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C. as an associate in the Firm’s corporate practice group, specializing in commercial contracts, corporate advisory, regulatory compliance, intellectual property and cross-border legal issues. Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.
Prior to joining Jaffe, Ms. Balakrishnan served as an associate attorney at Dickinson Wright PLLC, with a focus on private company mergers, acquisitions, private equity investments and restructurings. Prior to her work at Dickinson Wright, she spent three-years as an associate attorney at the law firm of Anand and Anand in New Delhi, India.
Ms. Balakrishnan earned her Juris Doctor from the National Law School of India University, where she graduated with honors. She completed her Master of Laws degree at Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a recipient of the J.N. Tata Endowment Scholarship. She is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
