Jaffe Partner Mark D. Rubenfire Elected to Board of Directors for Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – July 11, 2011 – Mark D. Rubenfire, a partner in the Southfield office of Michigan-based Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit. Jaffe CEO Richard Zussman made the announcement.
Since its founding in 1926, the Jewish Community Center has been dedicated to serving the city’s diverse and vibrant population with the very best in cultural, educational and recreational programming and whose goals remain the same: to make the Jewish Community Center a place where everyone feels welcome, a place of opportunity and creativity, a true center of the community. Mr. Rubenfire will be serving his first three-year term on the board through 2014.
Mark Rubenfire is a partner in the Southfield office of Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss and focuses his practice in real estate law, real estate leasing and real estate lending and workouts. He serves as practice group coordinator of the Firm’s real estate practice group and is past chairman of the Firm’s recruiting committee, as well as a past member of Jaffe’s board of directors.
Mr. Rubenfire is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan and a magna cum laude and Order of the Coif graduate of Wayne State University Law School, where he served as associate editor of the Wayne Law Review.
