Jaffe Partner James J. Parks Re-Elected to Oakland County Bar Association Board

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 4, 2012 – James J. Parks, a partner at Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss, P.C., has been re-elected to the Oakland County Bar Association Board of Directors for a three-year term. Jaffe CEO William Sider made the announcement.
The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) is an organization that connects approximately 3,000 lawyers and judges in Oakland County. OCBA offers legal professionals’ continuing education seminars, camaraderie and networking events, and the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the legal and justice systems.
This will be Mr. Parks second-time serving on the board. In 2010, he was honored by OCBA with the Professionalism Award – given to an individual who consistently demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, fairness, and excellence in the practice of law.
A member of the Jaffe’s Litigation Group, Mr. Parks concentrates his practice on various facets of complex commercial litigation within state and federal courts. He earned his bachelor’s degree through the Honors Program at the University of Arizona in Tucson and is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law. In addition, Mr. Parks serves as a board member for Generation of Promise and Winning Futures. He is also a Discovery Master and Case Evaluator for the Oakland County Circuit Court.
