Identity Teams With Starfish Family Services for the Holidays

Company adopts two families and donates more than 50 gifts
BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., December 13, 2012 – Bingham Farms, Mich.-based Identity, an integrated public relations firm, partnered with Starfish Family Services (Starfish), a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating brighter futures for the children of at-risk families in metropolitan Detroit, for the agency’s holiday giving initiative. Identity Managing Partner Mark Winter made the announcement.
Identity participated in the Starfish Adopt-a-Family program, through which the agency donated gifts to two deserving families. In all, more than 50 gifts were purchased and wrapped by Identity employees for both families, ranging from winter boots and clothes to educational toys, games and household goods. A group of Identity employees then personally delivered the gifts to Starfish’s headquarters in Inkster, Mich., on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
“We’ve partnered with Starfish for several years now and have witnessed first-hand how important their services are to the families they help on a daily basis,” said Winter. “The holiday season can present a time of great need for some, and our employees were eager to offer assistance to help enhance the holidays for these families.”
Identity’s partnership with Starfish marks the end of the firm’s 2012 corporate giving initiative, which included a volunteer day at Ronald McDonald House of Detroit in the spring, a backpack and school supplies drive for The Samaritan House over the summer, and a fundraiser for the Michigan Humane Society’s Mega March in October.
