Identity Dodgeball Tournament Raises More Than $2,000 in Funds for The Friendship Circle of Michigan

BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., August 26, 2013 – Identity, a Bingham Farms-based integrated public relations firm, hosted a charity dodgeball tournament in which 10 teams from six metro Detroit public relations, marketing and creative agencies engaged in friendly competition to benefit West Bloomfield-based non-profit The Friendship Circle of Michigan. Identity Managing Partner Mark Winter made the announcement.
Identity’s Charity Dodgeball Tournament took place on Thursday, Aug. 15 at The Friendship Circle’s gymnasium in West Bloomfield. A double-elimination tournament, participants included Airfoil, Weber Shandwick, McCann Erickson, EGT Printing Solutions, Tanner Friedman, Franco Public Relations and Identity. EGT took home the inaugural championship trophy after an undefeated run. The event raised more than $2,000 in funds for The Friendship Circle, which provides programs and support to families of individuals with special needs.
“Identity is committed to giving back to the community where we live and work through ongoing charitable events like this that help nonprofits doing great things like The Friendship Circle,” Winter said. “To have local competing agencies come together for this dodgeball tournament and support a great cause was inspiring and offered a fun night of team building and friendly competition.”
The dodgeball event is part of Identity’s yearlong corporate giving program, which has previously benefited other local charities, including American Cancer Society, Starfish Family Services, Ronald McDonald House, Michigan Humane Society and Samaritan House.
