Golf Foursome raises $5,500 for Mended Little Hearts
TOLEDO, Ohio, June 12, 2013 – A team from Hylant’s Cincinnati office won the local Chubb Charity Challenge held at Heritage Club on May 23. The team played on behalf of Mended Little Hearts of Cincinnati. The win means $5,500 to the charity.
Hylant selected to play for the local chapter of Mended Little Hearts because two families from the Cincinnati office have children affected by congenital heart defects. “We were playing for a charity close to our hearts,” said Spencer Timmel, client service executive in the executive risk practice at Hylant. “Participating in this great event is truly moving, but winning it and being able to donate a significant amount of money to Mended Little Hearts is a wonderful experience.” The winning team included Michael Yon, Jeff Sanders, Spencer Timmel and Bob Brewster (from the Columbus office.) The group carded a 16 under par score.
In November, the Hylant team will compete in the national event at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California and they will again be playing for Mended Little Hearts. The first place prize for the national event is $50,000.
The Chubb Charity Challenge, a national golf tournament, brings together insurance agents, brokers and customers throughout the United States and Canada each year to raise money for a local charity of their choice. Since its creation in 2000, the tournament series has raised nearly $11 million. The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies delivers property and casualty insurance products and services to businesses and individuals around the world.
