Hylant Appoints Andrew Berenzweig as President of Toledo Office

TOLEDO, Ohio Sept. 9, 2014 — Hylant, one of the nation’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, announced today that Andrew Berenzweig has been named president of its Toledo, Ohio office. Hylant’s chief executive officer, Mike Hylant, made the announcement.

In this role, Berenzweig will be responsible for driving the vision and long-term strategies for the continued growth of the Toledo office. As a proven industry leader with a diverse background in insurance, risk management and leadership, he is the ideal professional for the position.

Berenzweig is assuming the role from Richard Hylant, who was instrumental in leading the Toledo office’s significant growth during his tenure. Richard Hylant will remain highly active in the company and serve as executive vice president and a member of the board of directors. In his new role, he will lead Hylant’s Risk Matters, Asset Optimization Group, Hylant Administrative Services and Select Solutions programs. He will also continue to serve as the director of Hylant’s carrier partners, philanthropic and political endeavors.

Prior to being appointed president, Berenzweig served as client executive at Hylant for eight years and previously played five years in the national hockey league (NHL). He received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo.
