Hylant announces new president in Chicago office

Chicago, IL., January 29, 2014 — Hylant, one of the nation’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, announced today that Louis Roi has been named President of its Chicago, IL office. Hylant’s Chief Executive Officer, Mike Hylant, made the announcement.

In this role, Roi will be responsible for establishing the vision and long-term strategies for the continued growth of the Chicago office. His diversified insurance background in Risk Management, as well as his specific expertise in other areas of Food, Agriculture and Healthcare, makes him the perfect fit for the leadership role in Chicago. He has distinguished himself as a leader within the Chicagoland community and has an outstanding reputation within the insurance industry.

Roi, who most recently served as an executive vice president at Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services in Chicago, served as a managing director and national resource within its Food Niche and Healthcare Niche Practices. He was also a principle manager/leader within Gallagher’s Risk Management Practice. He was with the company for 14 years.

Roi earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University.  He has been published by numerous industry trade magazines, is a lecturer on various food-related topics, and participates in many insurance related associations on local and national levels.
