Hunt Leibert Conducts Successful Backpack Drive for Local Hartford School
By: Mark Winter
HARTFORD, Conn., September 8, 2010 – Hunt Leibert Jacobson, P.C. (Hunt Leibert), a Hartford, Conn.-based provider of significant legal representation in the state of Connecticut concentrating in finance, foreclosure, bankruptcy and mortgage-related litigation in both state and federal courts, has successfully completed its first “Back to School” backpack drive for one local inner city elementary school. Firm Partner Richard M. Leibert made the announcement.
The backpack drive was the first of its kind at Hunt Leibert. During the four-week initiative, staff volunteers collected and assisted in stuffing backpacks at the firm. The initiative concluded on August 13, 2010, when volunteers from Hunt Leibert transported 695 backpacks filled with school supplies to Milner Core Knowledge Academy in Hartford, Conn.
“The firm originally purchased 450 backpacks to donate, but through the generosity of our staff, we collected enough supplies to donate an additional 245 backpacks,” said Leibert. “The school we selected only had 450 students, so we donated the additional supplies in hopes that the students would have even more supplies to use throughout the school year.”
“The success of this event is attributed solely to our incredible staff,” said Leibert. “It’s extremely rewarding to see the outcome of so many generous individuals.”
