Hotel Sorella by Valencia Group Now Open at CITYCENTRE

HOUSTON, August 17, 2009 — Midway Companies, a Houston-based privately owned, fully integrated real estate development and investment firm, announced today that Hotel SorellaSM, an innovative luxury hotel concept from Valencia Group, is now open at CITYCENTRE. Brad Freels, chairman and CEO of Midway Companies, made the announcement.

The Italian-inspired 244-room luxury hotel features a unique, Moroccan-style bar featuring a central fireplace, active seating and a starlit ceiling, as well as an exclusive spa and fitness center. The modern outdoor pool is appointed with daybeds, lanterns and draped cabanas. Hotel SorellaSM dining options include Café Rosé and Bistro Alex, two exciting new restaurant concepts from noted restaurateur Alex Brennan-Martin.

Each of the 244 rooms, including 30 junior suites and one penthouse suite, include walk-in showers, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors and a custom Hotel SorellaSM bed. The junior suites offer 520-square-feet of spacious elegance, and the penthouse suite is 1,200-square-feet with views overlooking CITYCENTRE’s Central Plaza.

CITYCENTRE is a $500 million development and covers 1.8 million square feet. The new center reflects the next generation of mixed-use development and will be a distinct blend of elegant retail shops, fine dining, state-of-the art offices, distinct metropolitan homes and world-class hospitality, all in one 37-acre pedestrian-oriented environment. CITYCENTRE is located between I-10W and the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8.
