COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 20, 2010 — Commerce Township, Mich.-based LaVida Massage, a high-quality massage and wellness franchise, is providing complimentary massages to thank and honor service men and women across the country. On Friday, May 28, 2010, participating LaVida Massage franchise locations throughout the United States will be offering a complimentary massage to active or retired veterans, reservists and those in the National Guard to honor the Memorial Day holiday. The announcement was made by LaVida Massage Founder John Hoose.
Military service members are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Those who visit LaVida to redeem their free massage will be required to show a military ID or discharge papers. Most locations will be providing the massages from 9:00 a.m. to 9 p.m., but all interested in attending should check their individual store hours. The centers will also be open for business to the public.
“We believe strongly in our troops and want to honor their service and the sacrifices that they have made for our country,” said Hoose. “This is our chance to give back; to provide service members, if even temporarily, with an escape from the stress of their daily lives and the pressures they face. This is an opportunity for veterans to relax and focus on taking care of their health.”
