First Hospitality Group, Inc.’s Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown Hotel to Host “The Aura of Art”

Bi-monthly ART Milwaukee initiative showcases local art, dance, film, theater and music

ROSEMONT, Ill., January 22, 2013 — Rosemont, Ill.-based First Hospitality Group, Inc.’s (FHG) 127-room Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown hotel, formerly The Loyalty Building, will host “The Aura of Art” on Jan. 25 from 7-11 p.m. First Hospitality Group, Inc. President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.

The free and open-to-the-pubic arts extravaganza will feature dance performances from Danceworks and The Milwaukee Ballet, as well as musical selections from members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and local singer-songwriter Wolfgang Schaefer. Art from seven local artists will be displayed in galleries on the hotel’s three main levels. In addition, costume designs from The Milwaukee Repertory Theater and models featuring the fiber work of Timothy Westbrook will be showcased. New Word Document artists Mario, a slam poet, and DJ Trout will also perform.

“Community engagement has been one of our management team’s top priorities since the Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown hotel opened in November,” said Habeeb. “Offering our unique, historic space as a fun gathering place for community members is a great way for us to engage and give back.”

The ART Jamboree is a bi-monthly event organized by the Creative Arts Council, an ART Milwaukee initiative that brings together more than 20 different community organizations and artists to showcase local talent and enhance Milwaukee’s thriving art community. The interactive, traveling art galleries and live performances encourage attendees to socialize while experiencing a variety of art mediums.
