The iGroup Joins Forces with Fashion in Detroit to Host the Inaugural Two-Day Fashion Event

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., August 25, 2009 – Southfield, Mich.-based The iGroup, Michigan’s leading exclusive model and talent agency, continues to excel at placing its exceptional talent, this time partnering with Fashion In Detroit (FID), a two-day fashion show event, to provide all models for the inaugural show. Tony DiMambro, lead talent agent for The iGroup, made the announcement.

The event, which will be held on October 1-2, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Detroit Zoo, was developed by Joe Faris, a Season 5 top-six finalist in Bravo’s hugely successful Project Runway, along with the FID Executive Committee: Leslie Ann Pilling, Lians Jadan, Karen Buscemi, K’Kio Hardin and Rino Marra. The October Fashion In Detroit program marks the first of its planned bi-annual events. Scheduled between the NY and LA Fashion Weeks, the apparel spotlight will illuminate Detroit as the premier fashion evening in the nation. Fashion In Detroit will highlight global premiere designers as well as unrivaled lines from Detroit-area designers and the creativity of Michigan fashion design students.

The show will also include top-of-the-line high fashion models exclusively provided by The iGroup. The iGroup will lend its top talent to the event, handpicking over 30 men and women to stroll down the runway in the latest fashions. In addition to featuring its existing talent, The iGroup and FID will be holding an open casting call for models in early September.
