Commercial real estate company hosts coat drive to help local families this winter

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Dec. 03, 2014—Southfield, Mich.-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, partnered with Birmingham, Mich.-based Beyond Basics, to collect donations for the firm’s annual coat drive. Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group, made the announcement.

To collect donations, Farbman Group placed boxes in the company’s office buildings throughout Southeast Michigan. As a result of the month long drive, more than 250 coats were collected as well as other cold weather essentials, including hats, gloves, scarves and mittens.

“Beyond Basics’ mission is one we strongly believe in and are proud to support through a variety of initiatives during the year,” said Farbman. “Giving back to our local communities is part of the fabric of our company. Especially during this time of year, we are thankful for the generosity of our tenants and everyone who donated to make this winter a little warmer for local families.”
