SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 12, 2015 — Southfield-based Farbman Group, a leading full-service real estate company, hosted their sixth annual “Christmas in January” food drive on Jan. 30 to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, collecting enough food and cash donations to offer more than 1,232 meals to metro Detroit families in need.
Farbman Group employees and building tenants, along with members of the community, generously filled collection boxes with a variety of items at Farbman buildings located in Southfield, Bingham Farms, Troy and Detroit. Among the items donated were high protein canned items, personal care items, individually packaged healthy snacks for kids and cash donations.
“We’re thrilled to announce that this year 1,485 pounds of food were collected to benefit Gleaners,” said Andrew Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group. “It says a lot about the generosity of our community and tenants coming together for an important cause impacting families in our region who are in need, especially this time of year.”
