Event to bring more than 100 entrepreneurs to area
LOUISVILLE, KY, August 18, 2011 — The Louisville Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is hosting an event that will draw more than 100 entrepreneurs to Louisville to experience Kentucky’s proud heritage by taking a journey on the state’s famed “Bourbon Trail” on Friday, September 9, 2011. EO Louisville Chapter President Brad Warren, owner of Louisville-based MPI Printing, made the announcement.
Attendees of the event will enjoy a jaunt through the rolling hills of the bluegrass countryside to visit Wild Turkey for a distillery tour and bourbon tasting. The day will continue with attendees learning about the 200-year history of bourbon and the process in which it is made on an expert guided tour at the Buffalo Trace distillery following a presentation from Sazerac’s CEO Mark Brown. Visiting entrepreneurs will then get a taste of true southern charm and hospitality with a Kentucky inspired dinner served at Buffalo Trace’s Clubhouse.
Today’s economic climate has brought more business challenges for entrepreneurs causing an increased need for trusted ongoing business education, peer-to-peer best practice sharing and decision-making lessons learned from others’ mistakes—all cornerstones of EO and its mission.
“This event has sparked an incredible interest and will bring business owners to our state from the entire region,” said Warren. “The overall goal of this event is to provide current EO members with a unique and memorable experience—all while offering the opportunity to connect like-minded business owners with individuals who can serve as a trusted support system. Attendee will walk away knowing the value of EO and the lasting relationships built from membership.”
The Louisville event is pegged by the EO-US Central Region Council as one of only six national spotlight “Marquee Events” because it offers entrepreneurs a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and will draw individuals from multiple states to share in the experience, all while learning new ideas to run their businesses. This event will highlight the growing Louisville chapter, encourage new members to join and motivate members from other chapters to travel and meet their EO peers.
“More so today than ever before, entrepreneurs are facing unprecedented challenges to grow and sustain their businesses for the long-term,” said Warren. “In Kentucky, there is a plethora of opportunity for business owners to grow and thrive. Not only are we looking to leave our guests with a sense of the great history of our state, but also leave soon-to-be and new EO members with a sense of the value EO brings to professionals and their businesses.”
To join EO, you must be the founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a company that grosses more than $1 million annually. If individuals meet these requirements and are interested in attending the event and joining the EO Louisville chapter, please call 502-291-7351.
