FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., September 18, 2013 – Corrigan Moving Systems, a Farmington Hills-based relocation company dedicated to elevating the moving experience for families and businesses, today released its list of top benefits and tips for those preparing to relocate during autumn. Corrigan President and COO David P. Corrigan made the announcement.
Although spring and summer are the busiest times of year for movers, the Detroit housing market continues to show signs of improvement as Realtor.com ranked the city as one of the top Turnaround Towns for the second quarter of 2013. According to Realtor.com, Detroit’s median list price increased 37.8 percent year-over-year and the median age of inventory is 45 days, down 25 percent from 2012.
“We’ve seen some very steady improvements in the local housing market in metro Detroit this year, which has lead to a 25 percent increase in residential business for Corrigan this summer. We hope to see those numbers carry over into the final months of 2013,” said Corrigan. “Our goal here is to help better educate the community on the benefits of moving in the fall, and to share some useful moving tips at the same time to help ensure everyone’s moving experience is a positive one.”
