AUBURN HILLS, Mich., November 20, 2013 – Corrigan Moving Systems, a full-service relocation company dedicated to elevating the moving experience, announced today its Auburn Hills facility has once again partnered with Lighthouse of Oakland County to support the organization’s third annual Lighting the Way for the Holidays fundraising event on Sunday, Nov. 10. Corrigan CFO and General Manager Marc Elliot made the announcement.
This year’s Lighting the Way for the Holidays event was held at The Townsend in Birmingham. Event attendees enjoyed a spirited evening where they could view beautiful decorations and trees and bid on silent auction items, including a seven-and-a-half-foot Christmas tree, 12 table top trees, decorations, a five-foot wreath and nine smaller wreaths. There were also several live auction items, such as autographed sports memorabilia, a resort vacation and two custom-decorated Christmas trees created by local designers. Proceeds from the event benefited Lighthouse of Oakland County, a local charity organization providing services to low-income families in the area, and its holiday programs, which provide more than 800 families with a happier holiday season.
Following the event, Corrigan donated the service of a moving crew free of charge to transport eight 4.5” table top Christmas trees and one 7.5” Christmas tree purchased to the lucky families’ homes throughout Oakland County.
“Corrigan is proud to provide our services for a second consecutive year to such an inspiring and deserving cause such as Lighthouse of Oakland County,” said Elliot. “We are a company dedicated to helping move the lives of both our customers and community, and it is an honor to once again help spread the holiday cheer in our local area.”
The event was a big success, providing a fun evening of entertainment to all, while raising funds for a great cause.
As part of Lighthouse of Oakland County’s Lighting the Way for the Holidays charity event, Corrigan Moving Systems donated a moving crew to deliver Christmas trees purchased by attendees for free of charge.
