Thanksgiving meals donated to 150 veterans
DALLAS/FORT WORTH, December 7, 2012 – Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner & Engel (BDFTE), a law firm serving the mortgage banking industry that is powered by NDeX, announced today it partnered with American Legion Auxiliary #424 for its Thanksgiving luncheon to benefit local veterans and patients in the VA North Texas Health Care System. BDFTE Managing Partner Jay Frappier made the announcement.
For the holiday season, BDFTE provided the food for American Legion’s Thanksgiving luncheon, which benefited the patients suffering from mental illness at VA North Texas Health Care System. The luncheon served 150 veterans, and BDFTE also contributed toward grooming kits for the hospital’s 700 patients. Volunteers at the luncheon included Frappier, BDFTE and NDeX employees, four of whom are veterans themselves.
“This cause is particularly meaningful to our Firm and NDeX,” said Frappier. “To have served lunch to the men and women who fought greatly for our country was a true honor.”
VA North Texas Health Care Systems serves more than 111,000 veterans in 38 counties in North Texas and two counties in southern Oklahoma, and is ranked as the second largest in the Department of Veterans Affairs.
