AGIS to Host Free Seminar on HIPAA-Related Compliance Issues for Employers and HR Professionals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., February 23, 2010 – AGIS, a full-service insurance agency in Jacksonville, Fla., will host a no-cost informative seminar on HIPAA entitled, “HIPAA and the HITECH Act of 2009” on Thursday, March 18th. Breakfast and registration will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with the seminar following from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hotel Indigo Jacksonville, located at 9480 Tapestry Park Circle in Jacksonville.
This informative seminar will examine a wide range of issues relating to the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and their impact on employers who sponsor group health plans. Anyone who handles a group health plan sponsored by an employer is encouraged to attend. Topics covered will include:
– HITECH Act of 2009
– HIPAA compliance deadlines and obligations
– Easy-to-use compliance tools
