Absopure Announces Winner of Pure Michigan Moment Contest

Michigan-based water company showcases Pure Michigan partnership through social media contest
PLYMOUTH, Mich., April 8, 2014—Plymouth, Mich.-based Absopure, a family-owned company that has been bottling and delivering fresh, all-natural Michigan spring water for more than 100 years, announced that Ron Cooper of Novi, Mich., has been randomly selected from the more than 100 entries as the winner of the company’s Pure Michigan Moment Facebook contest. Absopure’s Director of Marketing Frank Zolenski made the announcement.
The social media contest, which asked consumers to share a photo of one of their favorite Pure Michigan Moments, was launched on March 17, as a celebration of Absopure’s newly announced partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and its award-winning Pure Michigan campaign.
“As you can see from the array of great photos submitted to our contest, Michigan means a lot of things to a lot of people,” said Zolenski. “At Absopure, we are proud of our Michigan roots and want to continue to inspire more Pure Michigan Moments for residents and tourists alike.”
Cooper will receive a weekend getaway to Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Traverse City that includes two nights of free accommodations, four complimentary breakfasts, sweet treats from Dylan’s Candy Bar, 20 arcade tokens and an additional $100 gift card to spend at the resort.
Twenty-four and 35 packs of Absopure Natural Spring Water—available at retailers throughout the Midwest, including ACO, Gordon Food Service, Meijer, Spartan Stores and hundreds of others—now carry new packaging co-branded with Pure Michigan that celebrates Michigan’s natural beauty and recognizes Absopure’s century-old Michigan roots. In the coming months, additional Absopure products in markets nationally will adopt the Pure Michigan co-branded imagery.
