TAYLOR, Mich., April 16, 2009 — Michigan-based J.S. Vig Construction Company announced today that The City of Romulus, Milford-based General Bearing Corporation, Southfield-based Central Business Park, and Birmingham-based private equity firm Strength Capital Partners (on behalf of its portfolio companies) have signed agreements to be the latest clients for the Project Green Team business unit. J.S. Vig CEO Joseph Vig, LEED AP, made the announcement.
The Project Green team consists of LEED accredited staff and subcontractors dedicated to providing practical solutions to improve the energy efficiency, water efficiency, thermal comfort, safety, air quality and lighting quality of commercial buildings. After an audit of an organization, clients are presented with recommendations, an accompanying budget and projected paybacks on operational and capital improvements. Key staff members are then trained on how to effectively implement and maintain the program. Projects will conclude with a "green opening" to celebrate the improvements that were made, recognizing that a sustainable operation is a process, not an event.Continue Reading
