  • MT. PLEASANT, Mich., Nov. 25, 2014—Mt. Pleasant, Mich.-based electronics processor 3S International and the Arnold Center, a non-profit community rehabilitation center, are building on the success of their partnership by hosting a large-scale e-recycling collection event. The event will encourage mid-Michigan businesses and community members to drop off their end-of-life electronics for safe, secure, and sustainable recycling.

    From 2-5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, participants can bring their end-of-life electronics such as laptops, computers, LCDs and flat screens to the Arnold Center, located at 490 Industrial Drive in Gladwin. Bulky CRT televisions and computer monitors are not accepted. A complete list of accepted items is available here.

  • SPRINGFIELD, IL., Nov 14, 2014—As part of their electronics recycling program, Springfield, Il.-based Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, with retail and donation operations spanning 37 counties across central Illinois and parts of Indiana, and Mt. Pleasant, Mich.-based electronics processor 3S International, LLC., plan to collect 100,000 pounds of electronics for recycling on Saturday, Nov. 22. Sharon Durbin, president and CEO of Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, made the announcement.

    The drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at three Goodwill stores located in Champaign, Bloomington and Springfield. This large-scale collection event is part of the most expansive e-recycling program underway with any Goodwill agency in the U.S., and is specially timed to help consumers clear out their end-of-life electronics before purchasing new products and electronic gifts during the holiday shopping season.
