Scott Wolchek

Media Relations Specialist

Scott applies his firsthand expertise of broadcast media in his role as a media relations specialist on Identity’s media relations & marketing team, providing research, copywriting, marketing and media relations support to clients.

As a former multimedia journalist at WNEM-TV and WILX-TV, Scott has years of storytelling and creative writing under his belt and uses his skillset to tell positive, personal stories about clients and share them with the world. With inside-knowledge on how newsrooms operate and a creative mindset, he knows how to bring kickass pitches to the table. He is also a huge fan of alliteration, rule of 3s and puns.

Scott earned his bachelor’s in communication from Oakland University, where he was also the Editor-in-Chief of The Oakland Post. He has also worked with CW-50 Detroit on the Street Team and with Mojo in the Morning as ‘Intern Scott.’

In his spare time, Scott enjoys reading. His favorite book is ‘A Clockwork Orange’. Since he was a kid, he’s also loved writing and often writes absurdly long stories riddled with inside jokes for his friends. Scott is a new dog-dad and enjoys taking his puppy Harley for walks (and trying not to get chewed up).
