Helen Korneffel

Senior Account Executive

Helen is a senior account executive at Identity, where she provides specialized support to the firm’s robust portfolio of clients through pitching media, community management, research and copywriting.

Helen’s interests in communicating big ideas to broad audiences and sharing the stories of real people doing amazing things led her to her role in the dynamic public relations industry. Helen believes professional communicators play an important role in addressing society’s challenges. One core part of Helen’s DNA is her passion for health care equity—something she attributes to her experience of growing up with a chronic illness.

A Spartan alumna, Helen graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a degree in journalism and minors in public relations and graphic design. If you asked Helen what made her college experience shine, she would tell you about her role as editor-in-chief of the MSU yearbook, her internships with MDHHS and Michigan Medicine, or her time on the MSU women’s water polo team. Helen also currently serves on the Central Michigan PRSA board as the vice-chair of communications.

When she’s not working, Helen is a hard cider lover and a fan of the great outdoors. She doesn’t miss an opportunity to walk her corgi puppy Georgie on gorgeous days. In the summer, you’ll catch Helen up north, relaxing on the beach at her grandparents’ cabin in Caseville, Michigan—with a hard cider in hand.
