Local augmented reality company expands operations overseas with facility in the Czech Republic

Our Approach

OPS Solutions, maker of Light Guide Systems, an augmented reality tool that is transforming manual assembly and manufacturing processes for companies worldwide, celebrated a major company milestone by expanding its presence internationally with a new European headquarters in the Czech Republic. Identity was tasked with spreading the news both locally, nationally and overseas in major European markets.

Identity leveraged a multi-pronged media strategy that encompassed both earned and paid media to secure coverage. This included a PR Newswire international press release distribution targeting countries such as the UK, Germany, France and Spain to help spread the news overseas to major daily publications, business publications and trade media. The PR Newswire distribution resulted in over 58 international media placements and a potential audience of over 2.5 million.

As part of our earned media strategy, Identity secured an exclusive with Crain’s Detroit Business to share the news first in our local Detroit, Michigan market. Additional clips were picked up in DbusinessCORP!, Metromode and Oakland County Prosper. Identity also positioned OPS Solutions prominently in the national trade media, resulting in over 5 media clips secured with targeted trade publications such as Advanced Manufacturing, Xconomy and Manufacturing Automation.

Another critical piece of the expansion announcement strategy was to secure a story in a prominent Czech publication. As such, Identity secured an interview for OPS with Hospodarske Noviny, a prominent local business publication, resulting in a feature story on the company discussing why they chose the Czech Republic as their new European headquarters.
