Love Those Broncos

Today was a proud day for the Western Michigan University Broncos.  Today…in front of a huge crowd…dressed in arguably the worst colors in college sports…playing at the home of the worst team in the NFL…..the WMW Broncos did the impossible.  They beat the Big 10.  The beat the University of Illinois.  They beat down everyone who said they could not do it.  And for a just a minute…..thousands of Michiganians forgot about the election….forgot about the economy…forgot about GM, Ford and Chrysler….and reveled in the seemingly impossible.  Strangers high fiving strangers.  Students, who were denied access to “their  Big 10 School” as seniors in High School, were grinning from ear to ear….that was me, by the way, 18 years ago 🙂

THE TAKE AWAY?…A little bit of hope goes a long way.  When you go into the office on Monday….go with your head high.  Just ask the Broncos…who are smaller….slower…and less skilled…anything is possible.
