Brandon Chesnutt currently serves as Identity’s social media director and is responsible for directing the firm’s social media practice group, as well as providing clients with strategic counsel and support. He has worked with brands of all sizes, ranging form startups to Fortune 100 companies, to help them connect the dots between social media and business development, recruiting, customer service, internal communications and marketing efforts.
Brandon lives and breathes social media inside and outside of the office. He is heavily involved in metro Detroit’s social media, technology and startup community, serving as the principal organizer of Startup Weekend Detroit and Ignite Detroit. He also serves as a global facilitator for Startup Weekend and travels around the country to help build and grow startup communities.
In 2010, Brandon was recognized by Crain’s Detroit Business as a member of the “Twenty in their 20’s,” a special list that highlights a select group of young professionals based in metro Detroit. His business and community accomplishments have also been featured in Inc. Magazine, Washington Times, Huffington Post, Detroit Free Press and Detroit News.
Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Communication from Oakland University. He is currently working on his MBA at Walsh College.
