Ackerman received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968 and his Masters degree in 1971 from Michigan State University. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1972. Ackerman is the past Chair of the Michigan Real Property Section Condemnation Law Committee and serves as Vice-Chairman of the American Bar Association Real Property Section Condemnation Committee. He has been an adjunct professor teaching eminent domain law at the University of Detroit Law School since 1983, and now serves as an adjunct professor at Michigan State University College of Law. In addition, Chambers USA has recognized Ackerman as one of the best eminent domain attorneys in the country, and he has been featured in Michigan Super Lawyers magazine for five consecutive years.

Dynkowski is a 1993 graduate of Wayne State University and he received his Juris Doctor degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1996. A published author, he currently serves as Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association, and board member on the Michigan State Board of Real Estate Appraisers, which provides licensure to state licensed and state certified real estate appraisers and real estate valuation specialists. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Law School since 2002 and at Michigan State University College of Law since 2009. Chambers USA has recognized Dynkowski as one of the best eminent domain attorneys in the country since the inception of the award. Additionally, he has been featured in Michigan Super Lawyers magazine consecutively since 2007.

He served as President of United States Foreclosure Network (USFN) from 2002-2004, as well as President for the National Default Title Division of First American Title from 2003-2004. A frequent speaker and published author, Trott was also a recipient of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association’s highest award, the James T. Barnes Memorial Award. He currently serves on the University of Michigan Dean’s Advisory Board, the Detroit Country Day School Board of Trustees and the Karmanos Cancer Institute Board of Directors.

Selected in the Bankruptcy category, Ford is a 1984 graduate of Western Michigan University, where she received her Master’s degree with honors in 1986. She is a 1993 cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School. Marcy serves on the board of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association (Eastern District of Michigan), as well as a board member and the current vice president of USFN. Additionally, she served as the Loss Mitigation Subcommittee assistant chair for the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees and was appointed to the Default Advisory Group for Freddie Mac.
