The 2011 Kids, Cops and Firefighters Fair will be a family fun event featuring Radio Disney, as well as complimentary face painting, goody bags, caricatures, and exciting games and prizes. Fire trucks and squad cars will be on-site from the local fire and police stations.

In addition, the Crystal Shopping Center Annual Sidewalk Sale will take place from Friday, July 29^th-Sunday, July 31^st. The 2011 Northway Summer Fest will be a complimentary community and family fun event featuring music and games from Radio Disney and a performance by Dance Moves, a non-competition performing arts school located within the center. The event, sponsored by Let’s Face It Cosmetics, will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the company’s Lakeville Crossing Shopping Center, located at 7662 West 160^th St. in Lakeville, Minn. Per American Red Cross guidelines, the event is open to individuals ages 17 or older who are in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.

The new Jim’s Market will be the fourth location in the St. Paul area, and will take the place of current anchor tenant, R.C. Dick’s Foods. Jim’s Market will make significant renovations to the property during the coming months, including new flooring, an updated front entrance and upgrades to the deli section, frozen foods department and meat counter. New lower prices will accompany the many improvements. The store will stay open during the construction process, but plans to hold a grand opening celebration later this year.

ST. PAUL, Minn., April 26, 2011 – A partnership between St. Paul, Minn.-based Paster Enterprises, a leading manager and developer of neighborhood shopping centers in the Twin Cities, and Shiner Capital Partners, a Chicago-based real estate investment firm with a focus on acquiring and developing retail shopping centers across the United States, announced today the purchase of Cahill Plaza, located in the northeast quadrant of Cahill Avenue and 80^th Street in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Paster Enterprises President Howard Paster made the announcement.

“At a time when so few deals are being done, we couldn’t be more pleased to have successfully completed this acquisition,” said Paster. “With a strong supermarket anchor, Cahill Plaza is a great addition to the Paster Enterprises portfolio. I’d like to personally thank our equity partners at Shiner Capital for their support.”

Cahill Plaza is a 69,000-square-foot shopping center that is anchored by a 52,017-square-foot Cub Foods and a 6,165-square-foot MGM Liquor. Additional tenants include Great Clips, RR Cleaners, C & A Nails, Edward Jones and Papa Johns.

The acquisition of Cahill Plaza officially closed on Thursday, April 21, 2011. There are no immediate plans for redevelopment.

The 14,820-square-foot Walgreens is a new prototype for the national chain. In addition to exterior design enhancements, the store features improved aisle graphics, more accessible shelving, polished concrete floors and an updated photo finishing area.

“We are thrilled that Walgreens is officially open for business,” said Paster. “The pharmacy will serve as a perfect anchor for our well-rounded tenant mix as we move forward with our aggressive growth plan for Mendota Plaza.”

Now complete, Phase I of the Mendota Plaza redevelopment included remodeling of the existing 48,000-square-foot building, major parking improvements and significant landscaping enhancements. Future phases, which will be added over the course of the next four years, include the addition of retail buildings, senior housing, office space and a childcare facility. When complete, Mendota Plaza will be more than double its current size.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Paster Enterprises representatives and City of Mendota Heights officials will take place on Monday, April 4 at 11:00 a.m. Walgreens will feature a different grand opening special each day of the week, including great discounts on photography and special Hallmark merchandise.

From Monday, November 8, 2010 through Sunday, November 14, 2010, Runner’s Gate will be offering great specials and prize drawings to show appreciation for its customers. The store will also use this opportunity to build awareness of people being active in the dark with their “Light Up the Night” run. The company will officially take possession of the 17,929-square-foot location currently occupied by Office Depot in December 2010. The new ALDI will offer residents of Crystal and the neighboring communities high-quality grocery and household items at discount prices. The store carries over 1,400 regularly-stocked items, including fresh meat, dairy products and produce.
