Del Taco Celebrates 50th Anniversary with a Special Throwback Classics Menu

Del Taco brings back customers’ favorite menu items from 1964

LIVONIA, Mich., July 17, 2014—Del Taco, a leader in the Mexican quick service restaurant industry, announced today the launch of its Throwback Classics Menu in celebration of the restaurant’s milestone 50th anniversary.

Beginning June 19, Del Taco will honor its Golden Anniversary with the return of three fun and tasty classic menu items that offer metro Detroit customers a taste of Del Taco’s history of delivering fresh ingredients for the last five decades. Available through August 2014, Del Taco’s Throwback Classics Menu includes:

  • Bun Taco: featuring seasoned beef, freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce and a fresh tomato slice in a sesame seed bun.
  • Small Taco Salad: featuring seasoned beef, freshly hand-grated cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and Del Taco’s secret sauce, served on a bed of crisp lettuce with tortilla chips.
  • Orange Shake: a thick, creamy orange and vanilla milk shake topped with whipped cream.

The company is also introducing a series of Collector’s Cups, comprised of four commemorative designs, available at Del Taco through September 3 or until supplies last. The cups are free with any Macho Drink purchase.
