Ruggles Green™ Opening Certified Green Restaurant™ at CITYCENTRE Houston

HOUSTON, December 11, 2009 — Midway Companies, a Houston-based privately owned, fully integrated real estate development and investment firm, announced today that Ruggles Green™ will join the excitement at CITYCENTRE in Houston. The announcement was made by Brad Freels, chairman and CEO of Midway Companies.

Ruggles Green™ will offer a diverse menu of comfort foods with a modern twist, as well as an extensive wine and beer list with a variety of organic options. The Certified Green Restaurant™ adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Green Restaurant Association, including an extensive recycling program, prohibition of Styrofoam, energy conservation initiatives, water conservation efforts, use of sustainable materials, and use of local and organic ingredients in food. The 3,595-square-foot restaurant will be the second Ruggles Green™ location.

“Ruggles Green™ is an exciting addition to our growing restaurant line-up,” said Freels. “This unique dining experience will bring a healthy, environmentally friendly culinary option to CITYCENTRE, drawing a new clientele to the project. The CITYCENTRE location is a natural expansion for Chef Bruce Molzan’s successful inner-loop original.”

CITYCENTRE is a $500 million development and covers 1.8 million square feet. The new center reflects the next generation of mixed-use development and will be a distinct blend of elegant retail shops, fine dining, state-of-the art offices, distinct metropolitan homes and world-class hospitality, all in one 37-acre pedestrian-oriented environment.
